NYSE, NAS100 and forex hours in South Africa (SAST)
NYSE and Nasdaq cash open at 15:30 SAST and close at 22:00 SAST while the US is on daylight saving, through 1 November 2026. After US clocks fall back, the same 09:30-16:00 Eastern tape is 16:30-23:00 SAST. A NAS100 CFD is not that cash clock. Retail desks often quote it for most of the weekday, then pause for a daily break, so read the symbol hours in the terminal. The full conversion is on the US hours page. US cash hours are a different page
South Africa stays on UTC+2. The US does not. While daylight saving runs, through 1 November 2026, 09:30-16:00 Eastern is 15:30-22:00 SAST. After 1 November 2026 that cash tape is 16:30-23:00 SAST. London-New York overlap
When London and New York run together (roughly 13:00-17:00 UTC / 15:00-19:00 SAST in many weeks), major pairs often see denser order flow. Spreads and slippage still depend on your broker, account type and the instrument. Sample live quotes on demo before you call any window “best”.
